West Chester Cedar Hill Cemetery

Between 1849  and 1873,the Orthodox Quakers maintained a burial ground on West Gay street. After that time, due to a West Chester restriction against burials in the borough, the ground could no longer be used and and the bodies of those buried there were moved to other cemeteries, mostly Oakland Friends nearby.
