  1. When I acquired property at mineral springs within the Chancellorsville Battlefield near Fredericksburg, my Father produced copies of journal and letters held by my great aunt. The claim is that I am direct descendant of J Wallace Scott. I didn’t know anything but started researching and see the direct link from my Father Gary Lee Scott, who passed in August 2018. Out records show J Wallace was also a distinguished member of Lincoln’s memorial Legion. Who approached me a few years ago to attend an event in JWS’ honor. I was heading overseas and unable to attend. I have since re-engaged with them and am completing documents to prove direct lineage for membership to honor my Father’s request.
