Drover's Inn

The Drovers Inn, also known as the Jesse Bentley House, was built about 1820 and was licensed as a tavern in 1851 by Robert Faddis. Among the neighbors who supported the establishment of the Inn were Mordecai Lee, John Fisler, Thomas Vandever, David Williams, James Griffith, Thomas P. Truman, James wilson, James I. Bailey, Eli Fredd, Henry Conner, Robert Wilson, Thomas S. Young, Robert Ramsay, Alexander Garden and James B. Humphrey. The drovers Inn played an important role in the development of the economy in the area.

The Inn, now a private residence, is located on Strasburg Road in Towerville.
